Scientific board

The board of the Doctoral School decides on matters concerning the Doctoral School, including its organisation, pedagogical issues, awarding grants, the training of doctoral students, PhD student follow-up, etc.

Members:

  • 6 representatives of the laboratories: Sylvie Icart (I3S), Bruno Martin (I3S), Benoît Miramond (LEAT), Nicolas Nisse (centre INRIA d'Université Côte d'Azur), Xavier Pennec (centre INRIA d'Université Côte d'Azur), Valérie Roy (CMA et PSL/MINES ParisTech)
  • 2 full representatives of the doctoral students and one substitute: Dalia Hareb (full), Romain Michelucci (full)
  • 2 representatives of laboratories from Université Côte d'Azur, outside STIC : Jean-Baptiste Caillau (Mathématics), Franck Delaunay (Biology)
  • 1 full socio-economic representative and one substitute: Matilde Gonzalez (QuantifiCare, R&D Director, full representative), Ingrid Grenet (Data scientist, substitute)
  • 2 representatives of administrative engineers and technicians: Ali Beikbaghban (Campus SophiaTech), Stéphanie Sorres (RH INRIA),

The Thesis Council within the board monitors the composition of the doctoral juries and HDR juries:

  • appropriately qualified reviewers, impartiality and sufficient national/international reputation in the field of the work presented,
  • the composition of the jury, respecting the independence of its members, complying with the regulations, etc.
