PhD Awards

Since 2020, EDSTIC awards the best theses of the year. The selection is usually made in the fall for theses defended between September 1 of the previous year and August 31 of the current year. It is not necessary to apply for these prizes. The number of prizes and their titles may vary from year to year. These prizes, which are awarded on the basis of parity between men and women, are intended to reward innovative work as well as the ability of the doctoral student to present his or her work in a clear and pedagogical manner.

The majority of these awards are funded by the ED itself, and generally one award is funded by the Fondation de l’Université Côte d’Azur.

Eligibility. All EDSTIC doctoral students are eligible for the award, but winners must agree to attend the award ceremony. Please inform the Doctoral School secretariat, with a copy to the management, if you do not wish to compete for the PhD Awards. The names of the winners and the titles of their dissertations will be published on this page each year.

Selection Process. An initial selection will be made to determine the list of "finalists". This selection will be based on the evaluations of the PhD reviewers and the quality of the defense. In the fall, the EDSTIC Board will meet to select the winners from the finalists.
