Thanh Phuong Nguyen

About me

Full professor at University of Côte d'Azur. Thanh Phuong NGUYEN received his PhD in computer science at Lorraine University, France, in 2010. He has been teaching assistant at Lorrain University from 2009 to 2011, then he has worked as a postdoctoral fellow at CMM, Mines Paristech in 2012, at Robotics and Computer Vision lab, ENSTA Paristech from 2013 to 2015. He was Assoc. Prof. at University of Toulon, France and member of SIIM team, LIS laboratory from 2015 to 2024. From 2023 to 2024, he was Co-Head of this research team. He obtained Habilitation (HDR) in 2021. He is currently a full professor at University of Côte d'Azur and at I3S laboratory, UMR 7271. His research interests include deep learning, image analysis, visual descriptor, action recognition, texture analysis, shape representation and discrete geometry in which he has published 36 journals.
